The Department of Historical Studies invites applications for teaching assistance in the following courses for the 2019 academic year.
First Semester (11 February – 9 June 2019):
(1) 13 weeks of HST4054F: Topics in South African Economic History [Postgraduate seminar course. 24 nqf Credits at HEQSF level 8]
(2) 7 weeks of HST2042F Conflict and Conquest: South Africa to 1900 [Undergraduate lecture course. 24 NQF credits at HEQSF level 6]
Second Semester (15 July – 24 December 2019):
(3) 10 weeks of HST3037S: Memory, Identity and History [Undergraduate lecture course. 30 NQF credits at HEQSF level 7]
The applicants must possess, at least, a Master’s degree in History or a cognate discipline for the undergraduate courses and a PhD in History or a cognate discipline for the postgraduate course.
